The student association Junior company Doka (hereinafter, DOKA) wants to provide you with information about the use of cookies on its websites.
Cookies are files that can be downloaded to your computer through web pages. They are essential tools for offering many services within the Information Society and Electronic Commerce. Among other things, they allow a website to store and retrieve information about a user’s or their device’s browsing habits, and based on the information obtained, they can be used to recognize the user and improve the service provided.
Types of Cookies:
Two types of cookies can be distinguished, based on the entity managing the domain that sends the cookies and processes the data obtained: first-party cookies and third-party cookies. Additionally, there are session cookies and persistent cookies, depending on the period of time they remain stored in the user’s browser.
Finally, based on the purpose for which the obtained data is processed, there are five types of cookies: technical cookies, personalization cookies, analytical cookies, advertising cookies, and behavioral advertising cookies.
Cookies used for Information Society and Electronic Commerce services are exempt from complying with the provisions of Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 of July 11 (hereinafter, the LSSI-CE Law), and would be used for one of the following purposes:
- To enable communication solely between the user’s device and the network.
- To provide a service expressly requested by the user.
In this regard, the Article 29 working group, in its opinion 4/2012 (Opinion on the exceptions to cookie consent, (URL)), has interpreted that cookies used for the following purposes are exempt from the obligation to inform or request permission for their use:
- “User login” cookies
- Authentication or user identification cookies (session-only)
- User security cookies
- Session cookies for multimedia players
- Session cookies for load balancing
- Cookies for personalizing the user interface
- Additional (plug-in) cookies for sharing social content
Therefore, it can be understood that these cookies would fall outside the scope of Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE Law, and it would not be necessary to provide information about their use or obtain user consent.

Doka assumes that you accept the use of cookies. However, every time you log in, cookie policy information will appear at the bottom of any page on the websites to ensure you are informed.
In response to this information, the following actions can be taken:

- Do not accept cookies. The website will not work properly, and you will not be able to navigate it.
